Ebook Creator Tools is a review desk for ebook creator software, run out of a basement office with three monitors and a permanently stuck export queue. We take the same long-form test manuscript and feed it into every builder we cover — then we write down what came back out the other side.
We started this site because the ebook-builder beat had collapsed into rephrased feature lists and screenshot tours that never actually opened the app. The point here is plainer: import the file, hit export, and report what the EPUB validator says before the marketing copy says anything at all.
Every tool gets the same workout — a 187-page manuscript with embedded video, a dropped cap on page one, and a footnote on page 142 that has historically broken every validator we've tried. Reviews factor in pricing, learning curve, export fidelity, and the long tail of small annoyances that only show up after a few hours of laying out chapters.
